About the Role

Stratford District Council is recruiting for a Communications Advisor to join the team.

In this role, you will provide communications and engagement support across the organisation, keeping our communities informed, engaged and involved in the work Stratford District Council does. You will support the Communications Manager and contribute to internal and external communications, content development, digital and social media, and community engagement activities.

This position is part time, working 20 hours per week, based at the Stratford District Council, Miranda Street, Stratford. The salary range for this position is $71,000 to $79,000 per annum (FTE), with the starting rate based on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.

About You

You will have experience in communications, content creation or a related field, along with a knack for turning information into clear, engaging content that people actually enjoy reading and understand on the first pass.

You have strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, along with an interest in digital communications and social media. You enjoy working collaboratively across teams and are comfortable providing support across a wide range of communication and engagement activities.
