About the role:

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this 14-month fixed-term contract is a specialist production design role focused on delivering high-quality, consistent and accessible visual content that supports Council marketing, communications and engagement activity.

You'll transform approved briefs into clear, engaging design solutions across a wide variety of channels and formats, helping Council inform, engage and serve the community.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing publications, reports, signage, advertising, digital assets, campaigns and branded collateral
• Applying Council brand standards consistently across all outputs
• Ensuring work is delivered to agreed priorities, deadlines and quality standards
• Supporting reusable templates, asset libraries and efficient design systems
• Working collaboratively with communications, marketing and digital colleagues on integrated delivery
• Liaising with external print and production suppliers when required

About you:

You'll bring proven graphic design experience, strong creative judgement, and the ability to deliver high-quality visual content in a fast-paced environment.

• Proven professional graphic design experience in a complex, fast-paced environment
• Strong capability in visual design across both print and digital channels
• High level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and desktop publishing processes
• Sound understanding of branding systems and consistent visual application
• Proven ability to interpret complex or technical information for diverse audiences
• Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
• A collaborative approach, with the ability to work constructively across multidisciplinary teams
