DIALOG Fitzroy Australia is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitter with extensive chemical plants and refineries experience to support our growing workload in Brisbane. We have opportunities available for individuals interested in casual or permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance work on:
- storage tanks (fixed & floating roofs)
- transfer pumps and metres
- pipeline systems
- vapour recovery systems
- filtration and additive systems
- Isolation procedures (mechanical & energy)
- Working both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality standards
Required Skills & Experience
Fuel terminals are high-risk environments, so safety maturity is essential and must have knowledge on:
- Basic fabrication and instrumentation
- Hazardous area awareness (Zone 0/1/2 or equivalent)
- Permit to Work (PTW) systems
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Isolation procedures (mechanical & energy)
- Confined space entry
- Hot work controls
- Strong communication skills and a solid work ethic
Mandatory requirements & trainings
- Current Driver's Licence
- Work at Heights (required)
- Confined Space Entry & Gas Testing (required)
- Construction White Card (required)
- API RP standards exposure (570, 653, etc.)
- Site-specific terminal inductions
- Forklift licence (required)
- HRWL - EWP (preferable)
Pre‑Employment Requirements
- Ability to pass Drug & Alcohol screening
- Ability to pass a Pre‑Employment Medical
- Legal right to work in Australia
