We're looking for a Materials Controller to support our workshop and project operations by maintaining accurate inventory control and ensuring seamless material flow across the business.

About the Role
As a key member of the Stores team, you will be responsible for the control, issue, return, and documentation of all materials, consumables, tools, and equipment. You'll work closely with workshop personnel, project teams, procurement, and logistics to ensure the right materials are available at the right time.
What You'll Be Doing
- Inventory Control — Receive, inspect, verify, and record incoming goods. Maintain accurate stock levels, conduct stocktakes, investigate discrepancies, and ensure correct storage and labelling.
- Workshop & Project Support — Issue materials and tools, coordinate project staging, and assist with urgent or critical material requirements.
- Systems & Documentation — Process receipts, issues, returns, transfers, and adjustments in the ERP system. Maintain accurate supporting documentation.
- Safety & Compliance — Promote safe work practices, assist with hazard identification, ensure equipment is certified/tested, and comply with all company and client HSE requirements.
What You'll Bring
Mandatory:
- Class 1 Full Licence
- Computer literacy and experience with inventory management systems
Preferred:
- Forklift endorsement & current OSH certificate
- Dangerous Goods (DG) endorsement and experience with DG documentation
- Previous stores or logistics experience
- Exposure to heavy machinery, engineering equipment, or industrial environments
