Customer Service Officer

About the Role
Stratford District Council is seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Officer to support our front facing teams across two key locations: the Service Centre and Wai o Rua - Stratford Aquatic Centre.

In this varied role, you will be the face of Council, providing high quality customer service across multiple channels including in person, phone, and email. You will support customers with enquiries, process payments, assist with facility bookings, and carry out general administrative tasks within the Service Centre.

At Wai o Rua, you will help ensure a welcoming and efficient experience for all visitors, supporting facility entry, retail transactions, and promoting the services available. You will take pride in maintaining a well presented environment and creating positive interactions with all customers.

This is a part time position working 17.5 hours per week: Sundays from 9.30am to 5.30pm at Wai o Rua, and Mondays and Tuesdays from 9.30am to 3.00pm at the Service Centre. The salary range for this position is $25 to $30 per hour, with the starting rate based on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.

About You
You will be a professional positive person who is a quick learner and great with people. You will confident with Microsoft Office products and have previous customer service and cash handling experience.

You will work well in a team environment but also on your own and will enjoy looking for continuous improvements for systems and processes.
