We are looking for a tech-savvy and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Digital Delivery Support Assistant. In this role, you will be providing support to library staff and customers in using various technology equipment through programmes offered by the library. This role includes rostered daily shifts on our Customer Services floors helping with library enquiries, and participation in programme delivery.
This position is permanent full-time at 40 hours per week to be worked over a 5 week roster which includes some weekend work.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Assist library staff and customers in using technology equipment in programmes and one on one learning this can include setting up Skinny Jump wireless internet, classes using robots, iPads, laser cutting, or 3D printing or setting up meeting rooms for bookings
- Stay up-to-date with social media platforms and assist in managing the library's online presence
- Research and recommend new tech innovations to enhance library services
- Collect and report data on technology usage and programme effectiveness
- Provide excellent customer service to library customers on rostered frontline shifts
What you will bring:
- NCEA level 3 or equivalent passes in English, Mathematics and Computing
- Customer-centric mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Technologically savvy, with a willingness to adapt to new tools and platforms
- Sound understanding of creative content design and delivery and understanding of digital user habits
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
