Team Lead - Capital Works

About the role:

As a Senior Leader in the Capital Works team, the Team Lead - Capital Works, you will have proven experience in delivering infrastructure projects from conception through to completion. The primary focus is to ensure that projects meet quality and other requirements, are delivered on time, and delivered to budget. The role is varied with the following being some of the key attributes and responsibilities:

  • Leadership
  • Proven skills in commercial management, quality management, coaching, mentoring, health and safety, communication, procurement and risk management.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Assist asset managers and others with conceptual design and project scoping.
  • Procurement of both professional services and physical works contracts.
  • Liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Reviewing and writing formal reports

About you:

You will be an experienced Team Leader or a Senior Project Manager ready to take that next step up in your career. You will be a dedicated professional who is able to take a concept on board, pull it all together and deliver it to the community. Our ideal person has a strong, natural sense of communication with all stakeholders and produces high quality community outcomes on time and to budget. You will be a key person in ensuring industry best practices are executed effectively, working across multi-disciplinary teams, consultants and contractors to deliver compliance and quality.

You will also have:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a Team Leadership and/or Project Management at a senior level, across a range of infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadership experience, in particular coaching, mentoring and collaboration.
  • Proven track record of successfully and safely managing complex projects to time, quality and cost.
  • Knowledge of design management, consenting, safety in design, constructability, risk management, procurement, and quality assurance processes.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills including presentation, interpersonal and consultation skills.
