We are seeking an experienced Routine & Unsealed Network Supervisor to join our Road Maintenance team in Oamaru.
This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the delivery of routine maintenance and unsealed road activities across the Waitaki District Road Maintenance Contract. You will lead field crews and subcontractors, coordinate resources, manage network defects and customer requests, and ensure contractual service levels are achieved safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager - Maintenance, you will:
- Lead and support maintenance crews and subcontractors.
- Plan and coordinate routine maintenance and unsealed road programmes in AWM.
- Undertake network inspections and identify maintenance requirements.
- Manage customer requests and service enquiries.
- Develop monthly work programmes and forward planning schedules.
- Monitor contract performance, quality and productivity.
- Assist with pricing, quotations and additional works.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and stakeholders.
- Support emergency response and after-hours callout activities when required.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in civil construction, road maintenance or infrastructure operations. A diploma or degree in Civil Engineering is desirable.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong planning, scheduling and organisational abilities.
- Good knowledge of maintenance operations, plant and resource management.
- Experience working with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
- Sound computer skills and the ability to manage operational records and reporting.
- A commitment to health, safety and environmental best practice.
- A current full New Zealand driver's licence. Class2/4 & WTR desirable
