About the Role

In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and managing our digital collections, supporting staff and customers, and ensuring our community can easily access the resources they need. You'll be someone who enjoys both technology and people. You're naturally curious, organised, and customer-focused, and you're excited by the opportunities digital services create for library users.

This is a varied role that combines digital resource management alongside frontline library service. You'll take the lead in developing and maintaining our digital collections, working with suppliers, analysing collection performance, promoting online resources, and helping customers discover and access our digital offerings.

You'll also spend time supporting customers in our libraries and sharing your knowledge with colleagues across the team.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Selecting and managing eBooks, eAudiobooks, databases, and other digital resources
  • Monitoring usage and analysing data to ensure collections meet community needs
  • Working with vendors on licensing, renewals, and troubleshooting access issues
  • Promoting digital resources through the library website and social media
  • Supporting customers with technology and online services
  • Training and mentoring staff on digital tools and resources
  • Contributing to library service delivery, including participation in the weekend roster.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • A qualification in Library and Information Studies (or equivalent)
  • At least two years' experience in library or information services
  • Experience with collection development and management
  • An understanding of current and emerging digital resource trends
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Good judgement, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
  • A current driver's licence.
