Infrastructure Field Officer - Corridor

Full-time Permanent role based in Mangawhai or Dargaville with WFH options.
Join our Roading team as an Infrastructure Field Officer (Corridor) and play a key role in keeping Kaipara moving. This role sits within our Roading team and focuses on coordinating corridor access, managing vehicle crossing applications and ensuring traffic management requirements are met. It involves a mix of office-based coordination and field work across the district, working closely with contractors, inspectors and customers.
What You'll Do:
You will be responsible for processing and managing Corridor Access Requests and Traffic Management Plans, along with vehicle crossing applications. You will also work alongside contractors and internal teams to ensure work within the corridor is completed safely, compliantly and on time.
Your work will include:
- Managing Corridor Access Requests and Traffic Management Plans, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant
- Coordinating approvals, tracking progress and communicating updates with contractors and stakeholders
- Processing vehicle crossing applications, including permits, inspections and sign offs
- Working with contractors, inspectors and customers to resolve issues and support outcomes
- Supporting road closures, undertake site visits and inspections, and maintaining accurate records and invoicing
What You'll Bring:
You bring a practical, solutions-focused approach and are comfortable working across both administrative processes and field-based activity.
You will also have:
- Experience or exposure to roading, construction or traffic management (beneficial)
- Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
- Confidence working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities
- Good judgement and a focus on delivering fair and consistent outcomes
- Ability to work independently and follow processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
