FMCG Maintenance Engineer - Mid-Day Shift
Delmaine Fine Foods
Know production machinery inside out? Love solving the fault that has everyone else stumped?
Join Delmaine Fine Foods in a hands-on engineering role where your mechanical knowledge will keep our production lines moving at speed.
This isn't a desk-based position. You'll start with the shift handover, review the day's production plan, identify faults and work alongside production to keep every line performing.
You'll be:
- Troubleshooting breakdowns and recurring faults
- Maintaining and repairing mechanical components
- Working across packaging machinery, pneumatics, steam systems and PLCs
- Finding practical ways to improve reliability and output
- Sharing your knowledge with operators and the wider team
Because our plant isn't fully automated, your experience, mechanical instincts and ability to think on your feet genuinely matter.
What you'll bring
You'll be a qualified Mechanical Fitter or Engineer with around 5-7 years' hands-on maintenance experience within FMCG manufacturing or food production.
You're technically sharp, organised and calm under pressure. You communicate well, enjoy working as part of a team and can take ownership without bringing an ego.
Why Delmaine?
We're proudly Kiwi-owned, with a flat structure and the freedom to make decisions quickly. If you spot a better way of doing something, your ideas will be heard, and can actually be put into action.
You'll receive:
- A salary negotiated around your experience
- A daily call-out allowance
- Time-and-a-half for call-outs
- A minimum three hours' call-out pay even if you only work 1hr!
- Just one Saturday every 4-6 weeks
If you know FMCG machinery and want your skills and ideas to make a visible difference, we'd love to hear from you.
