Digital Learning & Service Desk Lead
Kaipara District Council
Mangawhai or Dargaville | Full Time | Permanent
Help people build confidence with technology and make better use of the digital tools they rely on every day.
We're looking for a Digital Learning & Service Desk Lead to join our Information & Systems team and help make technology easier, clearer and more useful for people across Council. You'll create practical training, learning resources and support that help staff get the most out of Microsoft 365, workplace systems and approved AI-enabled tools.
Alongside this, you'll provide first-line service desk support, giving you a real understanding of the everyday issues people face. You'll use that insight to improve resources, reduce repeat questions and support smarter, more confident ways of working.
What you'll be doing
- Designing and delivering practical digital learning resources, training sessions and workshops
- Helping people make better use of Microsoft 365, including Teams, Outlook, SharePoint and OneDrive
- Supporting the adoption of approved digital tools, including Microsoft Copilot
- Creating user guides, knowledge articles and self-service support resources
- Providing first-line service desk support and identifying opportunities to improve the user experience
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who enjoys helping people learn, can explain technology clearly and is confident turning common issues into practical learning solutions.
You'll bring:
- Experience in digital learning, training, technology adoption, IT support or business systems support
- Experience creating learning resources, user guides or supporting documentation
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills
- Confidence delivering training, workshops or one-on-one support
- A customer-focused approach and the ability to explain technical information in plain English
Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, Flowingly or digital adoption initiatives would be advantageous, along with relevant qualifications in IT, Learning & Development or a related field.
This role supports staff across both our Dargaville and Mangawhai offices, so regular travel between locations is required. A full NZ Driver Licence is essential.
