About the role
We're looking for a motivated and community-minded individual to join our Arts, Culture and Lifelong Learning (ACLL) team as a Library/Service Centre Site Coordinator.
This role is a full-time fixed term role till 31st January 2027, working Tuesday to Saturday. You will be primarily based at Lincoln Library and Service Centre* playing an important part in supporting both our people and our service delivery.
While you'll oversee the day-to-day operation of the site, this role is fundamentally about people. We're looking for someone who enjoys bringing a team together, fostering a positive culture, and creating an environment where people feel supported, valued, and empowered to do their best work.
You'll be a visible and approachable leader who builds strong relationships, encourages collaboration, and helps create a workplace where individuals can contribute with confidence.
In this role, you'll:
- Coordinate the day-to-day operation of Lincoln Library and Service Centre
- Ensure the facility remains welcoming, safe, vibrant, and well maintained
- Foster a positive team culture built on trust, collaboration, inclusion and shared accountability
- Model excellent customer service and encourage high-quality service delivery
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent staffing and service delivery across the district
*While your home base will be as stated above, you will be required from time to time to work from other facilities across the district - Te Ara Ātea, Lincoln Library and Service Centre, Leeston Library & Service Centre, and Darfield Library & Service Centre.

About you
You're a natural leader who thrives in a dynamic, community-focused environment. You understand that exceptional community experiences are created by engaged and supported teams, and you're passionate about creating the conditions for others to succeed.
You'll bring:
- At least 3-4 years' experience in a library, customer service, or community-focused environment, with leadership or people coordination experience
- A collaborative and empowering leadership style
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to foster trust and connection within a team
- The ability to support, motivate and develop others in a positive and inclusive way
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Strong digital and technical competence
- Sound judgement, adaptability, and a calm, solutions-focused approach
- A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and an understanding of Te Ao Māori
- A full, clean New Zealand driver's licence
