Position Purpose
We are seeking a motivated and reliable student to assist our Information Management team with a short-term project involving physical file reorganisation, document digitisation, and records quality assurance. This role provides practical experience within a professional information management environment and is ideal for a student considering a career in records, archives, information governance, or information management.
Key Responsibilities
- Reorganise and prepare physical files for storage and digitisation.
- Scan paper records using specialised scanning equipment and software.
- Perform document integrity and quality checks to ensure scanned records are complete, accurate, and legible.
- Assist with filing, indexing, and document management activities.
- Follow established information management procedures and standards.
- Identify and escalate any issues relating to document quality or record completeness.
Skills and Experience
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- Good computer skills and willingness to learn new systems.
- Knowledge of document management systems is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in, or recently completed, an Information Management, Records Management, Library Studies, Archives, Business Information Systems, or related programme.
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in information or records management.

This position is available from November 2026 - February 2027. You are eligible to apply if you are currently enrolled in a tertiary institution or have graduated this year. All Summer Student roles are offered at a rate of $29.90 per hour and a 37.5-hour week.
