We're looking for a strategic and commercially savvy Procurement Manager to lead procurement across our Major Projects Regional business. Reporting to the General Manager, Major Projects, you'll lead strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, supplier performance, and procurement governance across a portfolio of major capital and regional locations.

About the Role

As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Procurement Strategy & Governance - Develop procurement strategies, maintain standards, and ensure compliance.

  • Supplier Management - Build strategic supplier partnerships, negotiate high-value contracts and framework agreements, and drive supplier performance through robust vendor management practices.

  • Commercial Performance - Deliver commercial value through cost optimisation, market analysis, risk mitigation, and procurement support for project execution.

  • People Leadership - Develop team capability while driving performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Continuous Improvement - Drive continuous improvement by enhancing procurement processes and systems, increasing efficiency and consistency, and implementing best-practice approaches.

  • Stakeholder Management - Partner with business leaders, provide procurement expertise, and build strong stakeholder relationships to support commercial and operational success.

  • Health, Safety & Environment - Champion HSE performance, ensure compliance, and promote a safe workplace.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Significant experience leading procurement functions within engineering, construction, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments.

  • Experience in running procurement as a centralised function.

  • Strong commercial acumen with proven contract negotiation and supplier management expertise.

  • Experience developing procurement strategies and governance frameworks.

  • Demonstrated success delivering cost savings and business value improvements.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.

  • Ability to build effective relationships across operational, project, commercial, and executive stakeholders.

  • Experience working within project-based, engineering, construction, infrastructure, or industrial environments is highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Current legal entitlement to work in New Zealand
