At Technopak, we design, manufacture, and install cutting-edge Dry Powder Packaging Machinery for dairy producers across the globe. Our technology is trusted worldwide, and as demand grows, we're looking for a Procurement Specialist who can bring both a strong procurement lens and a genuine mechanical or engineering mindset to the role.

This is not a traditional purchasing position. We need someone who can confidently work alongside engineers, understand technical drawings and components, think critically about manufacturing processes, and proactively source the right materials and parts to keep production moving.

If you come from a mechanical engineering, fabrication, OEM manufacturing, maintenance, or technical trades background, and enjoy combining technical understanding with commercial decision-making, this could be the ideal next step.

About the Role

Working closely with our engineering and production teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring the right components, materials, and assemblies are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and delivered on time.

You'll become a critical link between engineering, suppliers, manufacturing, and inventory, helping turn innovative machinery designs into finished products delivered to customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with our engineering design team to source technically suitable components and materials
• Support the Inventory Manager and assist with maintaining efficient inventory processes
• Read and interpret technical requirements, BOMs, drawings, and manufacturing specifications
• Work alongside project managers, engineering, and production teams to track procurement against project timelines and budgets
• Build strong supplier relationships to secure quality components, competitive pricing, and reliable delivery timeframes
• Monitor supplier performance and proactively resolve supply or production issues
• Provide regular procurement and order status updates to internal stakeholders
• Coordinate with warehousing and production teams to ensure materials arrive on time and meet quality standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement across procurement, supply chain, and production processes

About You

You're commercially aware but technically minded. You enjoy being around machinery, manufacturing, and engineering environments, and you can confidently communicate with engineers, suppliers, and production teams alike.

You will also have experience in:

• Strong procurement or purchasing experience within engineering or manufacturing environments
• The ability to understand technical components and manufacturing processes
• Excellent organisational and negotiation skills
• Strong numerical and commercial acumen
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• Confidence managing competing priorities in a fast-paced production environment
